We are pleased to offer a selection of recorded workshops by the American Academy of Forensic Psychology (AAFP). These were presented as live workshops and recorded for online distribution. Unlike our typical professional training programs, these recordings do not include any interactive components or supplemental materials and are more akin to old-school CE than premium professional training.
This lecture on Rorschach Assessment in Forensic Practice is presented by Dr. Irving B. Weiner. It addresses the nature of the Rorschach Inkblot Method as a relatively unstructured performance-based personality assessment measure that can facilitate decision-making in forensic cases by providing information that might not otherwise become available and by being relatively resistant to impression management. The presentation identifies specific applications of Rorschach findings in criminal, personal injury, and child custody cases. The lecture additionally elaborates guidelines for effective presentation and defense of Rorschach testimony, including a review of the well-documented psychometric soundness of Rorschach assessment, the typical admissibility of Rorschach findings into evidence, and the Rorschach’s customary welcome presence in the courtroom.
The fee for this training program is $100 and participants should expect to commit approximately 2 hours to completing this training program. At the end of the training program there will be a quiz that must be passed with a 70% in order to advance in the course. Once the course is completed participants will complete a course evaluation and then will be able to print their certificate of completion.
