CONCEPT Professional Training is hosting a Summer Training Institute at John Jay College of Criminal Justice June 1-5, 2015. Attendees will participate in in-person workshops with internationally renowned experts in the forensic mental health field. Dr. Stephen Hart, one of the field’s leading experts, will be instructing three workshops during this Summer Training Institute.

Dr. Stephen Hart obtained his PhD in clinical psychology at the University of British Columbia in 1993. He currently holds positions as Professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University and Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bergen. His expertise is in the field of clinical-forensic psychology, with a special focus on the assessment of violence risk and psychopathic personality disorder.

March 9, 2015TAMPA, Fla.CONCEPT Professional Training is hosting a Summer Training Institute at John Jay College of Criminal Justice June 1-5, 2015. Attendees will participate in in-person workshops with internationally renowned experts in the forensic mental health field. Foundations of Violence Risk Assessment and Management is a 5-day workshop presented by Drs. Stephen Hart, Kevin Douglas, and Laura Guy. Early registration for this workshop ends May 1st!

This Workshop will provide professionals with general risk assessment and management principles and focuses on the most common forms of violence (e.g., general violence, sexual violence, intimate partner violence, stalking). It will provide professionals with practical skills related to using specific risk assessment tools, and knowledge about implementing violence risk assessment and management procedures.

March 5, 2015TAMPA, Fla. — Dr. Kevin S. Douglas is Associate Professor and Associate Chair, Department of Psychology, Simon Fraser University. He is also a Guest Professor of Applied Criminology at Mid-Sweden University, and a Senior Research Advisor at the University of Oslo. Dr. Douglas received his law degree in 2000 from the University of British Columbia, and his Ph.D. in clinical (forensic) psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2002

March 2, 2015TAMPA, Fla.CONCEPT Professional Training is hosting Summer Training Institute at John Jay College of Criminal Justice June 1-5, 2015. Attendees will participate in in-person workshops with internationally renowned experts in the forensic mental health field. A variety of 1-, 2-, and 5-day workshops are being presented, allowing for participants to create a personalized training schedule to meet their professional interests.
