(Oct. 28, 2014) — ProActive Resolutions, Inc. announced at this year’s annual meeting of the Canadian Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (CATAP) that they will be offering a series of 3-hour live webinars on Version 3 of the HCR-20, the world’s most commonly used violence risk assessment tool in helping professionals in correctional, mental health, and forensic settings. Threat assessment expert and lead author of the HCR-20, Dr. Kevin Douglas, will lead the webinars, which are scheduled to take place at 9:00am (PST) and 1:00pm (PST) on Nov. 5, Nov. 10 and Nov. 12, 2014. The webinars will be held in conjunction with Consolidated Continuing Education and Professional Training (www.CONCEPT-CE.com).
Students and professionals will get an exclusive opportunity to interact with Dr. Douglas as he discusses the development of Version 3 of the HCR-20, the changes made from Version 2 and as he gives an overview of the items and how the measure can be used in practice. The HCR-20 (Version 2) is a Structured Professional Judgment instrument that has been evaluated in more than 200 studies and implemented or evaluated in at least 35 countries.
